Situational transition

A situational transition is the effect of an event on the system situation .

The situation is defined by the set of the system states. Therefore, a situation transition is composed of state transitions

Normative situational transitions

Normative situational transitions are those perceived as expected in normal operation. They are subject to rules and constraints. Compliance with the rules is key to resilience assurance .

Typically the rules and constraints are about conditions, defined in terms of the situation .

Visualizing situation transitions

Guideline  A situation transition may be visualized using transition diagrams ( Wiki ) if the transition of all the states affected by the event are normative
