Resilience validation

Goals

Graying out black swans: ensure that the system captures some unpredictable situations and events, such as unexpected  operational errors: identify instances in which the system resilience does not comply with the expectations of the stakeholders.

The goals of resilience validation is to ensure that the functional definitions are proper, namely that they match our expectations. Practically, we need to identify faults in the operational rules and in the function of the resilience features.

Pre-requisites

To enable the resilience validation we we need that the Integration testing is finished and that the operational rules and the resilience features are validated.

Guidelines

Guideline The design should provide means for the operators to report on risks that they experience during the operation.

Guideline The reports should include a description of the operator's intention and the history of the recent system behavior.

Guideline Also, the design should include means for examination of the development of the system behavior, such as trend presentation using charts =>.
