Primary modes
The primary
mode set
consists of three primary
modes, corresponding to
primary states, namely, the three types of
operational
activities :
- Routine modes, corresponding to
functional (production)
operation, as well as supportive modes, used for preventive activities (maintenance,
testing, training), ...
-
Exceptional modes, following a
trigger, resulting in a
latent condition or in a lengthy
recovery
procedure
-
Unexpected modes, following
another disturbance, while the
system is in an
exceptional state.
According to the recommended architecture, the
supervision station may be used to activate the proper
control station (primary, recovery, rescue) corresponding to the primary mode
