Interaction mode

Interaction mode refers to the operator's state of mind during the interaction. The interaction style should suite the interaction mode:

Routine operation - the interaction style should enable seamless, carefree operation
Troubleshooting - the interaction style should enable careful examination of the situation, and careful selection of the relevant controls
Emergency operation - the interaction style should prevent undesirable (unintentional or by mistake) operator's actions.
