This chart demonstrates a way to change the design, so that
slip-prone controls are changed to
slip-proof controls.
- On the left side is the original On-Off switch, which is
slip-prone. It is easy to change from On to Off, therefore perators are liable to unintentionally turn off the
machine they control.
- On the right side is the resilient variation, which is
slip-proof. Operators need to use two fingers to hold the switch to turn it, and it is not likely that they do
it unintentionally.
