Trend display

Trend display is a display of trend data, in a way which is useful for the operators for problem prevention and problem solving.

Usage

Trend display may be used in normal operation and in exceptional situations.

• In normal operation they enable preventing before they materialize.
they provide valuable information to the operators about the means they should take in order to mitigate the risks, if they materialize.

Risk management

  trend display might be overwhelming, masking the existence of real hazards.

  trend display should be distinguished from alarm display. In the usability testing it should be verified that alarms are perceived correctly beside the trend display.
