Trend specification

The specification of each operational mode associated with a continuous variable should include the following trend data :

The way to calculate the trend based on sampling of the continuous variable
The risks associated with crossing the boundaries
Methods for calculating predictions of the grace time (residual time until reaching the boundaries)
Methods for alarming about the risks and the grace time
Methods for risk mitigation and for recovery.
