The situation analyzer is part of the recommended architecture, in charge of:

• Tracking the changes of the system states
• Informing the other units of the  exception detector about changing the system situation.
• Alerting in case of subsequent operating in  exceptional situations or out of the design scope (in unexpected situations).

  If the operators are not aware of the exceptional situation or of instances of scenario-situation mismatch, they might become aware of it only after it is too late to tackle them.
