The dilemma

The dilemma of search style is whether to apply Visual, Interactive, or textual search for accessing information or a control.

Visual search enables direct access , which is best for repetitive search.

Interactive search enables flexible, unlimited access, but the operators need to know the category names or keywords.

Textual search enables finding remote information and commands, which the operators are not likely to remember and recall.

The dilemma is which search style is better for a particular search task.
