In the process industry
- The pressure in containers should never exceed a specified threshold
- The rate of entry of a specific material to a container should be in a
specified range.

In medical treatment
- The parameters (temperature, pulse rate, oxygen level ...) should always
be in a specified range.
In production lines
- The time from starting the line until the first products are assembled
should reside in a specified time frame.
- The production rates should be in a specified range.
In transportation
When driving a car
- The distance from the vehicle in front should exceed a threshold
calculated as a function of the car velocity.
- The distance from separation lines should exceed thresholds calculated
as a function of the car velocity.
In alarm systems
- The parameters of sound
alarms (amplitude, frequency, ...) should be in
ranges suited to represent the
emergency level
- The sound alerting about a specific
threat should not repeat for the
same threat.
In war
- The target should be in an area defined as a fire zone, or included in a
list of targets allocated for the combat stage, or coordinated with an
observer.
