The term Recue operation refers to situations our of the design scope. The operation is intended to resume normal operation. It consists of two stages:

• Troubleshooting, namely, threat recognition
• Operating under threat.

Strategies for operating under threat

• Reset function should be applied to automatically restore a situation in the design scope. This strategy is applicable to information systems and consumer products.
• Safe-mode operation, avoiding risky features, until resumption the design scope. This strategy is applicable to safety -critical systems.
