Hazard specification

Requirements about reacting to hazards

The specification is about the characteristics of the following stages, for all known hazards:

• Hazard detection
• Initial indication previewing the hazard, obtained by trend analysis
• Alarm threshold values
• Alarm generation
• Alarming features
• The grace time, in which the operators may respond before automated protection.
• Indication of operator's awareness of the hazard
• The automatic protection in case of operator's failure to respond in the  grace time frame .
