Definition
A control feature is a feature significant to the
operator, who is concerned about controlling the system.
Types
A control feature may be:
- Functional feature, if it is designed to produce the
system deliverables
- Resilience feature, if it is designed to enhance the
system deliverables.
Classification
A control feature may be:
- Any unit or component significant to the
system operation, such as sensors, engines, control units, containers, valves, etc.
- Any auxiliary entity: doors, floor, surface, etc.
- Any software feature used to for the
system operation:
information display, process actuators, options, ...
