Surprising event

Almost all events are expected in certain situations. Some of them might be surprising in certain situations

Definition

A surprising event is an event that changes the operational situation to unexpected, namely, not in the design scope (situation not supported in the system design).

Event prediction

Event prediction is defined with reference to the situation. An event is predicted if there is evidence that this kind of events occurred, in similar situations. It is unpredictable otherwise.
