The goal of resilience testing is to verify that the system responds properly to all kinds of hazards. This section describes resilience-oriented activities incorporated in the resilience testing stage:
Real hazards are typically generated at their own pace, and only a small part of them can be test at the developer's site. To test all kinds of hazards, we need to fake them. We can fake them for testing at the admin station.
The system behavior in response to the hazards should comply with the hazard protocol. The testers should be provided with means (probes, reports) to verify that the system behavior complies with the protocol.
