Safety climate is the perceived value placed on safety in an organization at a particular point in time. These perceptions and beliefs can be influenced by the attitudes, values, opinions and actions of other workers in an organization, and can change with time and circumstance (WorkCover Queensland, 2017).
Safety climate is a term used to describe an ideal situation, in which the stakeholders and the employees share common interests. The problem is that the employees know that in case of a crisis such as an accident, their interests conflict those of the stakeholder.
