Cognitive bias

Cognitive bias is defined as a systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment, whereby inferences about other people and situations may be drawn in an illogical fashion as discussed  by Haselton et al (2005).

Individuals create their own "subjective social reality" (Wki) from their perception of the circumstances. An individual's construction of social reality, not the objective input, may dictate their behavior in the social world as discussed by Bless et al (2004).
