Implementation
A rule may be implemented either locally or systematically.
Local constraints
A local constraint is one implemented within a
system
unit:
- Functional constraints are constraints imposed on the
operation
of the
functional unit. They do not
require any intervention of any other part of the
system .
- Station constraints are constraints imposed on the
interaction through the
stations .
System-level constraints
A system level constraint is one that enables limited
operator's deviation
from the rule, subject to
self-control.
- System-level constraints are imposed using the
Situation analyzer and the
operators intervention through the
alarm and
supervision units.
- Gates provide immediate feedback to the
operators about their
errors, enabling them to either fix the
errors or to take a short detour.
