Mathematically, interaction complexity can be formulated as information entropy. Practically, it may be regarded as a property representing various measures, such as:
The number of controls that users need to scan to find the one they need
The number of menu items that they need to explore before getting the one required, or
The number of setup parameters they need to consider before deciding whether the system would respond as desired.
