Alarm specification

Alarm specification should include include two sections:

• Timing, with the goal of having exactly one alarm per trigger
• Quality, with the goal of ensuring fast and accurate perception of the alarm situation and of the recovery procedure.

Timing

Trigger and risk identification, and preventing alarm flood. This can be obtained automatically by recursive hazard backtracking.

Quality

Ensuring fast and accurate perception of the alarm situation, including the trigger and the risk, and the recovery procedure
